Experience:

• Earned his BA in sociology and psychology from Middlebury College, and is currently pursuing an MS in international development management.
• Was a field team leader for Americorps and worked in recruitment for Teach For America.

Inspiration: People who “want to help others and take the actions necessary to do so…those who answer to a calling higher than achieving their own comfort.”

On HouseWorks: Doug is drawn to HouseWorks’ “commitment to community involvement and the Village movement” and the passionate and caring people on staff who make it work.

In brief: Doug wants to make things better. He likes helping people develop the skills they need to pursue what they’re passionate about. When he sees something that doesn’t add value to a system or process, he figures out how to make it more efficient.
