Associate Benefits
Overtime and Differentials
HouseWorks pays overtime wages of 1.5 times the normal rate for a given shift. We also pay higher rates for short hours, weekend shifts, and holidays, and the overtime differential applies to these higher rates as well. Associates who consistently earn positive reports from their clients are given priority for overtime assignments.

Advancement Program
HouseWorks offers five levels of employment for home care associates.  After one year of employment with the company, associates who meet basic performance criteria are eligible for promotion and associated wage increases.

Health Insurance
HouseWorks Associates who have been with the company for a full calendar year and work an average of 35 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in HouseWorks health insurance program, provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield.

On-Call Bonus Program
HouseWorks pays a bonus of $50-$100 for qualified associates who agree to be on-call during a designated time period to cover open shifts. Higher bonuses are available on peak holidays.

HouseWorks associates are paid the base hourly rate for time spent in authorized training sessions. If you want to attend a training that we have not listed, please call Rob Madore at 617-928-1010.
